Most of you know that Alexis and Aaron are very competitive--who's the biggest, the fastest, who's got more "doubles" in their cereal bowl full of mini-wheats! Kevin and I just keep telling them about the tower of Babel, but it hasn't penetrated their rivalry yet! It's a first child thing! Apparently, according to Kevin Leman, when you have a daughter first, and then a son, it is like having two first borns, especially when they are within 2 years apart. But what most of you don't see is the way they really love eachother. Alexis is very protective over Aaron, and Aaron, well, he would rather play with her than anyone else. They are sharing a room as of a couple months ago and they love it! It takes them a little longer to fall asleep, but they really like eachother's company. Last night I came home from visiting with a friend, and kevin told me I needed to check on my kids. This is what I found! When I asked them this morning why they were both in AAron's bed, Alexis said that Aaron was scared so she laid down with him so he wouldn't be scared anymore. Oh, that does my heart good!
